Serving The Poor Community

During the initial walk through at Birch Community Services, Steve Kimes, front left, of Anawim Christian Community, along with various other organizations who are working with the poor communities in the Northwest, make a note next to available food that they need to pick up that day. Fridays are Anawim’s scheduled day. Pastor Steve Kimes of Anawim Christian Community and other organizations are able to pick up food that they can distribute to the communities they serve: the poor and needy in the Northwest. Birch Community Services is also known as the gleaners. Birch Community Services provides a “dignity exchange” program with the working poor in our area.
